AZYCUP began in 2003 as the Arizona Youth Involvement Network (AYIN), formed by a small group of young credit union professionals who saw an opportunity to inspire and cultivate other young professionals in Arizona’s credit unions as they prepared to step into future leadership roles. Over the years, the board has grown and evolved, adapting to the changing needs of young professionals in the industry.

In 2021, the organization officially became the Arizona Young Credit Union Professionals (AZYCUP). While our name has changed, our mission remains the same: to develop, connect, and empower the next generation of credit union leaders. Since then, AZYCUP has expanded its reach, building stronger networking opportunities not only across Arizona but also with young professionals in other states through our affiliation with GoWest. This growth has allowed us to host more leadership, advocacy, and volunteer events, further strengthening our commitment to the credit union philosophy of people helping people.

We are committed to serving our communities, developing future leaders, advocating for the credit union movement, and building strong connections across Arizona’s credit unions. We uphold integrity, collaboration, and the people-helping-people philosophy in all we do.
